Dubai International Finance Centre is the onshore finance and business hub in Downtown Dubai connecting the region to the world, and the world to the region. It is ranked as one of the worlds fastest growing financial centres in the world, housing branches of many of the biggest financial institutions of the world. The DIFC was established as the UAEs first financial free zone with ambitious objectives to enhance Dubais economic development and to ameliorate reliance on oil revenues by diversifying and supporting the growth of the banking and financial sectors. The DIFC has since become the financial and business gateway between regional, emerging and international markets and contributes significantly to the UAEs nation building mission.
