Discovery Gardens is a Nakheel project built on a 234 acre parcel of Sheikh Zayed Road which has 290 low-rise buildings and over 25,000 apartments.

Discovery Gardens buildings are colorful and architecturally pleasing. The community has matured and has very high occupancy rates (estimated at between 95 - 97%). The 291 buildings in the community are inhabited mainly by bachelors and small families. There is no designated carp parks, but parking is plentiful around each and every building. The community has greened tremendously since its delivery in 2009.

In terms of activity and leisure, residents have several community pools, playgrounds and a couple of basketball and tennis courts that are free to use. The Ibn Battuta Mall is a short distance away and a new community center was delivered by Nakheel in late 2014 which contains a Geant supermarket, some restaurants and cafes as well as other amenities.

There are a large of super markets and community centered businesses that are located in the Zen Cluster (the buildings closest to Sheikh Zayed Road).

Currently residents of Discovery Gardens can connect to the rest of the city by the bus-line that connects to the Metro station located near Ibn Battutua mall.

In early 2015, the Government of Dubai announced a new metro extension which will run parallel to Discovery Gardens and reach the Expo 2020 site. This is a positive development for residents and home-owners in this area.
