' We love living in Al Barari, its the one place in Dubai that we manage to feel at one with nature. The only way I can describe it, is a mini rain forest in the desert, with a backdrop of the city skyline at night. In the winter months we step out of our back garden into the path ways that lead us through Bararis lush botanical gardens over to the main lake.Its such a unique little community, you can just wonder around what feels like endless path ways, that wind through numerous water ways, mini waterfalls and scattered little wooden bridges that cross over the streams. There are little cabanas hidden amongst the different garden areas. I often grab a good book and just find a little tranquil spot next to a flowing stream. On the way home, Ill pick some of the leaves off the beautifully scented basil and rosemary plants nestled around the community.
We have lived here for 3 years, and now that we can walk over to The Farm; the onsite organic restaurant thats opened its just perfect. The food is amazing, and the setting is again among greenery and water. We also have an excellent community gym called 'Body Language' that has lots of fitness classes (perfect setting for yoga) and the kids get to enjoy the residences tennis and basket ball court too.
