Al Barsha South Area Guide
Al Barsha South is a new residential district 8 kilometres inland from Palm Jumeirah and lying to the south of the more established Al Barsha, to the east of Jumeirah Village Circle and just north of Motor City. The land to the east of Al Barsha South has not yet been developed but is earmarked for the vast new Mohammed bin Rashid City and a Universal Studios theme park.
Al Barsha South comprises five areas, Al Barsha South 1, 2, and 3, Arjan and Dubiotech (Dubai Biotechnology and Research Park). Segment 1 has been built and comprises villas and town houses. Segment 2 is not yet completed, and work has not yet started on segment 3. Arjan is under construction and includes the completed Dubai Miracle Gardens floral park, and Dubiotech is up and running but not fully developed.
The housing in Al Barsha South comprises three to five bedroom villas with big gardens making it popular with families.
There are several schools within the community including Gems World Academy, Nord Anglia International School, JSS International School, Foremarke School, Al Safa Community School and Kings College.
The nearest medical facilities are the Al Barsha Health Centre and the Saudi German Hospital, also in Al Barsha.
Al Barsha South is still a very new community and has yet to become established, so this would appeal to investors, or to those looking for modestly priced rentals with easy access to the highways.
