Business Bay, launched in year 2003, envisioned to eventually emerge as the central business district of Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The developer of this project is the Dubai Properties Group and the project features numerous skyscrapers located in an area where Dubai Creek will be dredge.
Business Bay will have upwards of 240 buildings, comprising commercial and residential developments. Business Bay will be a new city within the city of Dubai and is being built as a commercial, residential and business cluster along a new extension of Dubai Creek extending from Ras Al Khor to Sheikh Zayed Road. It comprises office and residential towers to set in landscaped gardens with a network of roads, pathways and canals. It will be the business capital of the region as well as a freehold city.
As of Q2 2015, there are about 71 ready projects in Business Bay while another 30 projects are currently under construction. Business Bay consists primarily of office buildings, but there are a number of residential and hospitality projects ready and under-construction.
