The
Sustainable City is the first of its kind in the UAE, promoting Eco friendly,
greener living, expanding over 46 Hectares of land. It aims to house 2700
residents living within 5 clusters. The residential community will offer 3 and
4 bedroom townhouses. The project aims to reduce our carbon footprint by
using Solar panels to produce its energy. Large Solar panels are placed on the
top of each townhouse as well around the rest of the community to provide a
cleaner more sustainable energy. The project will bring together residents and
guests with its different social components offering retail shops,
Planetarium, Mosque, Country club, productive farm and Biodomes, school, jogging
and Cycling tracks, Equestrian trails and Shaded Pedestrian tracks. Wind towers
are strategically placed in order to keep the area cool during the hotter
months. Recycling bins are clearly labelled and placed at regular intervals to
encourage a greener way of disposing of garbage. All water used is 100 percent
recycled. Each townhouse is also provided with an Electric Buggy for use within
the community in order to reduce carbon emissions and keep residential areas
safe for families.
The Sustainable city is located off Al Qudra Rd, close to Arabian
Ranches. A Buffer zone of 27m wide is provided by the 4 layers of 2500
trees, to reduce air and noise pollution. The project is 15mins from
Downtown Dubai, Dubai mall and MOE, as well as JBR and Dubai Marina. 20
mins drive from DXB Airport.
