Mirdif, sometimes referred to as Mirdiff, or Murdef due to differences in transliteration, is a residential area located in south eastern parts of Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Total area of this district is 9.2km2. District is subdivided in to three main areas which include Uptown Mirdif, Warqaa and Khwaneej. These sub areas are designed and built to offer different type of residential options as well shopping and leisure facilities for residents living here. Uptown specifically designed to represent spa town and provide landscape gardens, townhouses, apartments and beautiful villas to make this place alluring 32 residents. Whereas shopping centers are located closely to residential apartments. Shopping centers of this district are mostly low rise buildings.

This District has become famous among migrants and expats in 1990s. This area has true cosmopolitan environment to residents as residents of this area include locals UAE residents as well as people belong to other foreign countries like other Middle Eastern countries, European and Asian countries. During 90s Dubai experienced fast growth inconstructionsector and property developers initiated new projects to expand this district by developing two new gated communities Shorooq Mirdif and Ghoroob Mirdif.

Mirdif consists mainly of villa developments, or single privately held villas. It has become popular with expatriates since the 1990s. As Dubai has grown, the area has become more popular with more land being sold to large real-estate developers.The population of the general Mirdif area is a complete mixture of all nationalities, UAE nationals, middle-eastern expatriates, along with Asian and European expatriates.
