JBR (Jumeirah Beach Residence) is a residential and commercial community built in the Dubai Marina area and measures 1.7 kms of waterfront living. It comprises 2 residential developments back to back making it the smallest double phase development in the world. Constructed by Dubai Properties in 2002, the development includes 40 towers (35 residential and 5 hotels), that can accommodate about 15,000 people split between apartments and hotel rooms. The six residential blocks include Shams, Amwaj, Rimal, Bahar, Sadaf and Mujan.
This community is vibrant and dynamic both night and day, thanks to its key feature, a beautiful stretch of beach, that runs parallel to the community and includes parking, retail and food options; in addition, The Walk at JBR is a series of restaurants, cafes, retail shops, beauty salons and other convenience outlets built at the ground floor level of the residential towers, popular for its al fresco dining options. This community is often one of the chosen venues for international events such as the Film Festival’s beach movies, concerts, and sports events that bring huge crowds to the beachfront area.

Access to JBR is either by car, though parking is a challenge particularly at peak times; or by metro using either the Dubai Marina or the JLT stops which are about a 20 minute walk from the community; alternately, the Dubai Tram which opened in 2014, links from both the JLT and Dubai Marina metro stops and will take you directly to JBR; there are also ample taxis and buses in the area.
